When the iodine is released, it kills bacteria and changes colour. • Reduces the bacterial count • Absorbs fluids, removes exudate, pus and debris • Promotes healing: maintains a moist wound environment • Forms a gel over the wound surface • Range of sizes to suit most wound sizes • Indications: Chronic, non-healing wounds including leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers and exuding, infected wounds (in conjunction with systemic antibiotics).
